Dublin Castle history remembered in sand

A set of four sand sculptures depicting stories from the history of Dublin Castle opens in the castle grounds today.
The sculptures are part of events leading to the 800th anniversary of the castle, which will be celebrated on August 30.
Some 120 tonnes of sand have gone into the carvings. Each piece depicts a historical scene from the chequered history of the castle.
