**I find this quote from another story about secret talks between Bigley's captors and the brits to be of little comfort to anyone. Were the women prisoners released? I'm sure the fact that the hostage-takers didn't 'win', such a Thatcher-type idea, is a great solace to Bigley's wife.

“Hostage-takers must not be allowed to win,” he said. “I feel utter revulsion at the people who did this, not just at the barbaric nature of the killing but the way they played with the situation over the past few weeks.”
