Ahern: No plans to stop military use of Shannon

The Taoiseach has said there are no plans to stop US military aircraft from landing at Shannon Airport.
Bertie Ahern has come under fire from Opposition deputies over the movement of armed troops to and from Iraq.
The Taoiseach said trade arrangements with the US military had been in place since 1959. He said despite numerous conflicts such as Vietnam, Kosovo and Bosnia, the Irish government had never suspended these arrangements and had no plans to do it now.
