The above is a link to Yeats' play about Mother Ireland, set in County Mayo in the year of the 1798 Rebellion. Many thanks to THE SHAMROCKSHIRE EAGLE for the text of the play. As one of the articles will tell you, "Constance Markievicz called the play a 'gospel' from her cell shortly after the 1916 Irish Easter Rebellion."
